"The festival enters its fourth year of providing two weeks of LGBT culture and art. Diversity is its keyword and the festival has presented many aspects of LGBT culture from hip hop to cabaret from theater to spoken word and beyond," according to press notes.
The festival accepts submissions of plays long or short, performance, music, dance, video, film, multimedia, poetry, spoken word, fiction, cabaret, musicals, mimes, dance, jugglers, visual art, comedy, singing, baton twirling, tap, ballet, opera; any creative expression is welcome.
The submission deadline is February 5th, and those whose works are selected will be notified in mid-March. There is a $35 fee for Fresh Fruit membership, which includes (amongst other things) free entrance to all Fresh Fruit Festival performances forever.
