The original policeman from the Village People disco group, who co-wrote such hits as "In the Navy," was being sought on arrest warrants today after he failed to show up to be sentenced on a drug case, authorities said.
Victor Edward Willis was arrested July 11 after Daly City police found a loaded pistol and what they believed was crack cocaine in his vehicle, authorities said.
Willis was supposed to have been sentenced this morning in San Mateo County Superior Court, but he was a no-show, authorities said. <snip> (OK ... I was going to make some crude remark like "I always figured he was into 'crack' ... but then I came to the last paragraph)
Willis was convicted of possessing drugs in 1990 and acquitted three years later of raping a woman after she ended their one-week relationship.
