Transvestic Disorder in DSM V?
FYI _ I have seen this brought up at Pink Essence which requires registration. And here is a link about the proposed change by Helen Boyd. As I read it the proposed wording would classify any trans-spectrum individual not attracted to the opposite of their desired/displayed gender as a fetishist.

1. DSM ( run by psychiatrists) adds and drops all sorts of behaviors as illnesses or disorders.
Then it parses the definitions to a fare thee well, then drops them altogether.
Homosexuality was in the DSM at one time.

I suspect this attempt will be met with strong resistance.
Passive resistance is when a Mental Health practitioner refuses to use the label on anyone.
I saw a lot of that in my working days.

Personally, I think there needs to be a category for politicians who act out their sexual behavior in illicit ways
( adultery, public porn, etc).
