But in my family, we are three. We are a triad and we can't marry either. Well, we can, and plan to, handfast, but we don't get legal protection.

Edited to add: Luckily, both moms of my husbands like me and I'm an orphan so I don't anticipate problems with being able to visit or make decisions in the hospital

Marriage is about the tradition of animal husbandry between opposites, hence opposite marriage, not love! Don't redefine it. :silly:
