Hillsborough County Commission votes not to recognize Gay Pride
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/06/061605tamPride.htm

The county that comprises Tampa has voted not to recognize gays.

Hillsborough County commissioners passed an ordinance on Wednesday barring the county government from any acknowledgement of Gay Pride, and a second ordinance making it virtually impossible to repeal the first one.

LGBT activists say they'll go to court, charging the county with violating the US Constitution's protections of equal protection and free speech.

1. Who were the other Commissioners to vote against it?
We all know Rhonda Storms is a lunatic.

She's so bad, last year a black widow bit her on the ass and died.

2. Another reason I am glad I left there.
That's insane! I hope they do go to court.

3. Hi, everyone.
I hope you don't mind me posting this here.

I live in Tampa (Hillsborough County) and wanted to show you this:

It's a photo from the rally last night held in response to the recent hatemongering by our County Commissioners.

City of Tampa Mayor, Pam Iorio, has gone on the offense, stating that she is shocked by the actions of the County, and suggesting that discrimination has no place in Tampa Bay.

A "Pride is Back" march will occur downtown on Sunday. Whereas 400 folks came out for this meeting, I'm hoping there will be a huge turnout.

Just wanted to drop by and let you know that this isn't being taken lightly here by anyone with common decency.
