Booo just BOOOOOO

I don't like it. I was a Pats fan and still am I don't like that the Giants won and instead of taking shots here and there I will come out and say it I DON'T LIKE IT

I never really minded the Giants they seamed to be rather innocuous yeh they won under Parcells and all but  hell at least it wasn't the Bills

I love the way the Pats play football. The teamwork aspect of it everything we were taught as kids they carry out-what a great example for everyone.

I LOVE watching Randy Moss play. Going back to the funny socks at Marshall and the national championship just LOVED him. It is a shame that he has to wait even another year to win a championship. He is clearly the best player of the last 10-25 years.

Wow Tiki Barber may actuall feel lower than this moment

3:32 of crawling back into his suit

I watched the Giants this whole season-the Redskins were better than they were but they were able to get teams to play down to their level and use thin tall linemen to rush the QB so as to cover for their inexistent DB's. The Pats were countering this for a while but lost their focus on it at the end.

The Giants remind me of every loud mouth New YAWKER I have ever met. There seems to be no reason for their confidence and by the time you realize that they aren't joking they have managed to gain some advantage or at least talked everyone into thinking so. It is amazing to watch.

We have 20 years of Strahan to put up with now.

I don't like and never will. Sorry have your fun but it was not from coaching or skill it was happenstance.

So, Moss is all but gone.

23. I only asked
because you made a reference to him getting a championship. Wouldn't he have to leave the Patriots to do that? At the very least to continue his quest for a clean, unadulterted championship.

1. The Giants' defense was inside Brady's shirt ALL DAY.
Happenstance. Sure.

Whatever excuses the Perfect Season That Wasn't.

9. I watched the first quarter
apparently you didn't

As in the Dallas game the Giants sent the house at the QB starting in the second quarter and it was very effective. If you had read the original post or watched the game you would know that the Pats did adjust to this but in a bad coaching move they got away from it.

20. I watched your boy get sacked 5 TIMES.
That, in my book, is all day.

You can't even give the Giants D credit for that. You'd rather blame it on a 'coaching mistake.'

Just like your punkass coach, you can't deal with getting beat.

Deal with it.

29. And you say I'm relentless!!
Give em Hell AS

From my vantage point and amateur view of the game I thought the Giants defense was freaking awesome last night. And don't get me started bragging about Peyton's little brother.

2. I loved watching those smug cocky bastards lose
They deserved this lose.

Brady got spanked like a little brat.

This was David taking down Goliath and Goliath couldn't fight back.

Pats fans should just cop to the fact that they play in the weakest division in football.

4. Oh Lord
inthebrain, you warm the cockles of my heart. Brady did get spanked but we all know he is the most greatest fuckingest awesomest quarterback ever WHEN HE HAS MAXIMUM PROTECTION. If he plays another ten years without having to go against a defense he might be talked about with the likes of Montana and Bradshaw and Marino. "Weakest division in football." Bless you Pilgrim. But let us not forget, their coach had to cheat to get them where they were this year, and most likely years past.

7. you need to reassess the nature of team sports
get over the moment to see the whole picture.

The idea that a team from New York (okay well sort of) is "David" makes it clear that you need to get a better idea

10. Oh, its because it was NY
Typical mentality of a chowdah head.

So I suppose that the Islanders beating the 93 Penguins doesn't fall in that category either.

Man..

Boston fans have just become delusional. Not that it's any different than the way it was before.

Lemm break it down for you.

The Pats WERE the Yankees in this matchup.

11. Sport
so hockey is clearly out of the picture - team putting

I am a Southerner (oh crap the people who actually know about football) and the Pats have run a team like the sport was meant to be played. Yes I understand that they were the more established power but that was a good thing and still is, unlike the Yankees.

Cheating is no way to run a team. Just sayin'

17. Why does every team cover up their mouths when speaking?
Why do they have their Ivy League backups decoying signals?

They all do it or at least clearly assume that the other team is. The Pats just got caught.

Oh BTW- they still have a first round draft pick this year courtesy of the Niners.

21. Well, there's a justification.
Cheating is cheating. 'Everybody does it and only we got caught' is a lame excuse.

19. Ummm
The Pats didn't win when it counted.

They are not as well run as you claim either. Well run teams don't need to cheat.

The Patriots will NEVER recover from this loss.

They are DONE.

OVER!!!

16. What difference does their division's strength make?
They took down 6 playoff teams during the regular season, so you can't really say they played a cupcake schedule.

12. Your boys got beat, and they're not as perfect as they thought they were.
The Pats thought they had it all sewn up and the game was just a formality.

The Giants were the better team today, period. I know it's hard to take being beaten by an Evil New York team, but deal with it.

Even 'perfect' teams lose games. Even 'perfect' quarterbacks get their asses whupped.

Better luck next year, if the team stays together.

you don't win as much as they have (this is only Brady's 8th year) assuming things. They got beat today.

24. Congrats DaveinMD
Fantastic win. I thought of you not long after the game, along with a few other prominent Giants fans on DU, and a family of Giants fans I know in Las Vegas.

It felt 17 times sweet to me. I was a Dolphin season ticket holder as a kid in '72 and really didn't want to lose the annual shindig of rooting for the last unbeaten to fall.

Besides, I summer in the Saratoga area and have attended Giants camp in Albany many times including last summer. Last year they screwed up and sat me in the front row as a VIP during an early August 2-a-day. That inspired a little boost toward rooting for the Giants this season, especially with the Dolphins so inept.

Admittedly, I never thought they would pull it out today. But never underestimate the power of basic football.
