Just how crazy will the AL Central be this year?
I'm a Twins diehard, but I have to admit that the only AL Central team that doesn't worry me is KC. Minnesota, Detroit, Cleveland and Chicago all look like they could deadlock the AL Central standings until the end of the season. Win, lose or draw - this is going to be one fun division to watch this year!

1. Except if MLB gets its way, I can't watch it

No Extra Innings. I've exhausted every avenue I can think of with emails, calls, and complaints (and compliments in the case of Arlen Specter) but I don't think I'll be able to see my Tiges this year. At least not on cable, and I can't get a satellite dish because I am a renter.

Sigh.

2. I love baseball, but I HATE the MLB & Bud Selig
I feel your pain.

3. I follow Cleveland via Gameday on mlb.com
It's not streaming video or audio, but it's pitch-by-pitch, free and I can work without distraction.

5. It should be good.
And the Twins should be the strongest. I see Cleveland offering the biggest challenge to them, and the Sox playing about where they did last year, with the Tigers dropping off. On the other hand, KC won't be as easy to beat on an every day basis, either.

10. I'm worried about the Twins' pitching rotation
If Sheffield gives Detroit some more power at the plate, we could be looking at Tigers as AL Central champs and Minnesota was a wildcard. With Cleveland, I'll believe it when I see it. ChiSox are a mystery to me right now, they could be huge or they could implode. It'll be fun to look back on our opening-day prognostications in July to see how things have actually shaped up.

6. The AL Central is going to be Buck Nutty. I am fastening my safety belt for this ride!

7. It could be nuts -- any of four teams could rationally win.
Especially if Cleveland's pitching rebounds, Minnesota's bats continue to improve, and Chicago's veterans bounce back. Sadly (because I root for KC quite a bit) the Royals' season is over already. There's no way they'll finish above 5th. But that's more a testament to the rest of the division as well.

9. I think the Royals may be a legit threat in 2-3 years
This new kid you guys have at 3B sounds like the real deal. I think KC may be building the nucleus of a future competitive team.

They also have a few good arms developing which could amount to something. I hope.

8. Of course only 2 of the 4 teams can move on
Division winner and wild card. That will be a shame as if some of the teams were in a different division or league they would be guaranteed to get in.

12. Drop the two that don't make it into the NL Central...
...and they'd probably take the division and Wild Card there, too. Four legitimately good teams.
