Who will Notre Dame play in the BCS championship game?

Surely getting their butts kicked by Michigan and USC won't keep the "Irish" from making it to the big game. After all they are America's team with big wins's over Army, Navy and Air Force. Maybe next year they can schedule the Merchant Marine Academy.

Now that USC's going to the Rose Bowl as the Pac-10 representative, it could be possible that the two teams could play again. If Ohio State and Michigan are in the championship game, there will be no Big Ten representative in the Rose Bowl, opening the gates for Notre Dame.

Is this possible? Likely? I'm just speculating here -- there are people much more knowledgable than I about the bowl process on this board.

Even though bigwillq is right I think I get your meaning. If it were up to just the sportscasters Norte Dame would just about surely be going to the BCS Championship. Even though Notre Dame only beat the military academies the sports casters were making a big deal about how Brady Quinn had had such great games and how he should be the number 1 draft choice. I am not the biggest Troy Smith fan, but I think he should be the number one draft choice. Finally, even after Notre Dame had been completely beaten by USC one sportscaster felt that Notre Dame should be picked to go to the Fiesta Bowl over Flordia even though Notre Dame has 2 loses to Flordia's one.
