Poll question: Who is the League MVP for the NBA?
Let's say it's from a marketing standpoint.....

1. Kobe
I am going with Kobe in that he lead the Lakers to the playoffs when everyone said the Lakers would not make it to the playoffs. In addition, to leading the Lakers to the playoffs he had a great year. He scored 81 points in one game which is second only to Wilt Chamberlain. Also, he scored 62 point in 3 quarters. I think this is only third to Kobe's 81 points and Wilt Chamberlain's 100 points. Another reason I think Kobe should be the MVP is that many of the broadcasters and sportswriters have been saying that Steve Nash should get the MVP trophey in that he lost Amare Stodamire and still lead his team to the playoffs. I think many people felt the Suns were going to make the playoffs; however, noone thought the Lakers would make the playoffs. Therefore, Kobe should be the MVP.

2. I voted for Chauncey because I like him!
And I am a Pistons' fan.

That's all the breakdown I plan to offer.

I'm just waiting for someone to vote for Eva. Heck, you see her more often than you do some of the players!

3. Tempted
I was really tempted to vote for her after I saw her name; however, I had already voted for Kobe. I share your sentiment about her. I actually named her sixth person of the year. I have said it before and I will say it again they talk about her so much you would think she is a starter, or at least on the team. I get upset sometimes in that they show her so much. In last Saturday's game they showed her more than they showed the coach. During All-Star week I think they talked about her every time they talked about the game. It just made me so upset because it was almost like there was not even going to be a basketball game.

6. Hey, if I had Eva Longoria cheering me on, I'd have an All Star season too

In all seriousness though, if you take away Chauncey Billups from the Pistons, they're still a good team. You still have Ben Wallace, Rip Hamilton, 'Sheed, and Tayshaun. So even if you replace Billups with just a decent guard, they're probably still in the playoffs. By contrast, how much are the Cavs worth if you take LeBron out of the mix? How much are the Lakers worth minus Kobe?

And while we're at it, where's the love for Dirk? Or Elton Brand? Clippers in the playoffs, nuff said.

13. Underrated
I like Chauncey. Very underrated player. Your team just has too many good players around him. If you took him off the team, Pistons would still make the Finals.

Had to go with Kobe or Nash... BUT since the Lakers are playing the Phoenix Nash right now I had to go with my hometown hero. Without Kobe, Lakers win maybe 20 games

8. Thought I saw an article where "insiders" said Steve Nash won
again...I really don't follow basketball, but prior to this I'd sort of heard is was between him, Kobe and Le Bron.

11. The skinny I've heard is that Steve Nash will win again...
How come he's not even an option in this poll?

12. Arizona newspapers are already reporting that Nash has won
Even though the award isn't announced for two weeks.

I voted for LeBron, because it would be best for the league from a marketing standpoint. A very young, marketable, talented superstar who should be around a lot longer than the others on the list.

I'm happy with Nash winning, it the reports are true.

16. Kick...
Shame that the actual winner, and defending MVP wasn't even an option on this poll.

Way to go Nash!
