Talk about gaudy. The Miami message boards are flooded with more threads about the uniforms that the game itself. At least we finally took the lead.

I'll date myself by admitting I'm just old enough to recognize those late '60 unis. My dad started taking me to Canes games during the Ted Hendricks era when I was a little tike. I think these are '66 unis. I wasn't old enough to really pay attention or remember until '68. My memory is the '68 uniforms were similar but more tame, with lighter color pants and more of a plain helmet, although I do have memories of the hurricane decals like they're wearing today.

Those Canes teams sucked, lucky to win 4 or 5 games. You would think they would take that into consideration before agreeing to wear nonsense like this.

Nike is doing all type of crap with collegiate uniforms, paying the schools to do it. The Miami message boards are saying Miami received $80,000 to wear this garbage. I understand Miami will wear some type of weird sleeves next week against Va Tech, similar to what Va Tech wore on Thursday night against Boston College.
