Giants fans raise over $8k to fly plane taunting Dodgers for opening series

Back at the end of January, there were reports that a group of Giants fans were raising money to hire a plane to fly over Dodger Stadium with a banner that reads "Giants 2010 Champs: BEAT LA".

Well it looks like F*ck Yeah! SHUT UP! Inc has surpassed their goal (101%) and raised the $8,000 necessary to make this a reality. It will be nice to see the banner flying over our hated rivals' stadium and hopefully it is accompanied by a large contingency of Giants fans at every game.

The payment has been delivered to the plane company with the opening series days reserved for flight, and the banner is being manufactured right now.

Things sure have changed. Since the hated Dodgers last won anything significant (1988), the Giants have won 3 NL Pennants and a World Series.
