Jay Cutler Walking Around LA without a Limp...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJiDAgP0zWE

Chicago Bears Jay Cutler, who's image has already been destroyed on Twitter, was captured on video by TMZ.com while walking around an LA shopping center with his girl friend, Actress Kristin Cavallari.

The TMZ video person, obviously not in tune with pop culture news, failed to ask Cutler how his knee was coming along. But the video shows he was walking around without hesitation, bringing up the question of "Exactly how hurt was his knee?"

We may never know.

3. For someone who couldn't plant and throw..
Cutler sure wasn't having any trouble planting an following Kristin Cavallari around....nor was he having any problem walking upstairs to eat at a Chicago restaurant following the game.

I don't know how bad Cutler's knee is, but he left that game way too easily for me, and one thing is for sure...by walking around in public with his girlfriend like this, with nary the sign of a limp, Cutler is just giving more ammunition to his critics..

4. "Cutler is just giving more ammunition to his critics.."
Only because his critics, like yourself, can't wait to lock and load. Methinks you'd have found some ammo unless he was bedridden for the next 6 months.

13. HE DIDN"T LEAVE THE GAME!
Man, folks here can be dense! He was REMOVED from the game by the coaches. At halftime he was told he was done! He lobbied to give a go. He started the 3rd quarter. Couldn't plant to throw, couldn't move to his right.

Coaches said "done". END OF STORY! HE DID NOT REMOVE HIMSELF FROM THE GAME!

He is a blight on the Chicago Bears. Worthless. And I am a Bears fan, very disappointing.

12. A grade 2 strain is no picnic
It's a partially torn ligament, and it feels like having a hornet's nest in your leg. You could put weight on it, but any kind of twisting or pivoting is like a razor blade under the skin. There's no way he should have tried playing on it. And hell, I was rooting for the Bears myself. Butkus is my fave ever, but look how short his career was because of his playing on a constantly injured knee.

I don't even like Cutler, but the people saying he quit don't seem to know how painful this injury can be.

24. I know I've starined my knee a few times
And I sure as hell wasn't climbing stairs and standing around like he was. If it was so serious why wasn't it iced up. I agree with your point about Butkus, you think a knee would have kept out of the game? Kind of proves my point. Most legendary players were tough. Ronnie Lott had them cut off part of his finger so he could continue playing. He's no princess he's a prima Donna. The people calling me a homer, out to look in the mirror and realize we got sold a bill of goods.

Peace,
Max

You're the kind of Bear fan that embarrasses those of us who aren't meatballs.

Since it's obvious you didn't watch the game, let me tell you that he couldn't plant his lead leg. Couldn't throw the ball. Couldn't slide right.

But, you've got your tiny mind made up, despite all the facts being contradictory to your conclusions.

Talk about a blight. You're the blight on our fandom.

16. And if Cutler had stayed in the game and thrown 4 INTs
because he couldn't plant, Cutler would have been shredded as being too arrogant to know he couldn't help the team (see Brett Favre, last year).
I don't like Cutler much and understand why many people don't like him, but this shredding of a guy, WHO DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE in the matter is beyond ridiculous.

20. Hell, Cutler wasn't doing so good throwing the ball before the injury.
Really, if anyone should truly be ashamed in all this, it's Todd Collins who was a complete disaster as a backup in the three games he appeared in this year.

23. I've watched every game this year
And I'll thank you not to jump to conclusions. He quit in Denver when the new coach suggested he wasn't as good as he thinks he is. We traded our draft away to get him, and everyone bitches about our offensive line. We had a perfectly fine quarterback. We needed to upgrade our offensive line. We needed a number one receiver. What good is a "franchise" quarterback if he has not weapons and no protection. If the defense, which is getting old, hadn't played hard this year we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

Peace,
Max

25. If, If, If, If, If.. . .
Somehow with all your self-assuredness that everyone but a hard playing defense sucks, the team won 12 games.

Perhaps you should rethink your definitions of success and quality.

And, he didn't not quit in Denver. He requested a trade and they accommodated. That did NOT work out for him since the got rid of the punk coach who caused the rift. Apparently, even Denver believes McDaniel was the problem.

And, btw, the "genius" McDaniel said that right after Cutler went to the Pro Bowl and was second team All-Pro. So, McDaniel was completely wrong then, you're completely wrong now, and there is zero evidence that Cutler quit on anybody.

You continue to act like a meatball fan, but get offended if called a meatball. Seems like there is a pretty simple solution.

31. McDaniel only added to the problem
I did not want to get into Upton's thread, but it has grown to be big.

I live in the Denver area. I saw it all happen on a daily basis in the papers, TV and radio. And I'm unbiased because I never have liked the Broncos.

Cutler secretly asked for a trade when Bowlen fired Shannyhan. Then Cutler quit showing up for meetings and practice after they hired MickyD. Cutler said that Josh was trying to trade him for Matt Cassel. Josh actually was just testing the waters. But noooo. The baby, Cutler, got his precious ego busted and then just quit on the Broncos.

As this cartoon from that time shows, Cutler took most of the criticism:

32. Funny Cartoon
Still doesn't affect my opinion.

If the player is a punk and coach is a punk, the player will always win the battle in the end. Punk players only lose when the coach is a well-respected winner. McDaniel was neither. He was a silverspoon know-it-all, that left New England and they didn't miss a beat.

So, he was overrated when he was hired, and he went about proving he wasn't up to the task from the hour he got there.

33. No, you got that wrong too.
The Josh won his first six games. Most people were calling him a genius. Then the bad trades caught up with him.

What I don't understand is why Cutler's diabetes supposedly causes him to act like a jerk and show no leadership ability.

There's another weird thing. Pat Bowlen said he never got a text message from Cutler about the trade. That happened at the same time Bowlen admitted to having "memory problems". That and his lack of talking to the media makes some think that Bowlen is is suffering from dementia. He's only 64.

35. No, I Don't Have It Wrong
It's a matter of opinion. Two of the games were won on freak plays, and you know it.

And, one of the bad trades was getting Orton, and you SHOULD know that, since i saw him for more years than you have, but you've seen him long enough.

So, you go ahead and blame Cutler and hate on him, and i'll blame McDaniel and hate on him.

22. Jay Cutler's biggest problem is that he's not Aaron Rodgers...or Donovan
McNabb...or Peyton Manning.

This man has horrible body language. As I posted in another thread, when I found out he had diabetes, I cut him some slack. He never looks happy. But then, Donovan McNabb used to get yelled at by the fans for looking too happy when they were losing.

I believe Jay Cutler tore his MCL. My father did this. He can walk, but it hurts like hell when he's trying to lift, bend etc.

Can we move on now?

26. One thing that seems to be getting lost in all this bullshit
Is that the Packers would have won the game anyway. Bears fans want an excuse and Cutler provides several. Packer haters simply cannot accept that the Packers are better than the Bears and others in spite of 15 guys on IR. McCarthy should be coach of the year without any competition from anyone else, except maybe Morris in Tampa. GO PACK!

28. You don't know that..
the Packers didn't even score an offensive TD in the second half, while allowing a 3rd string QB to put up two on them. I guess that's called stumbling to the finish line.

Cutler moved the ball fine his first series, then seemed to go steadily downhill from there. I would have liked to have seen what he could have done had he been healthy the whole game. If some guy named Haney can run and throw through the Packers D, then Cutler would have done so eventually too...and you know Big Ben will.

29. You remember the game differently than I do
The Bears weren't doing much at all in the first quarter except for one good catch and run by Forte. Cutler wasn't very effective.

The Packers changed their defensive scheme once Haney came in.

30. Do you know ANYTHING about rivalry games?
You sure as hell don't know anything about this rivalry that's for sure. Usually when these two teams meet, it is a defensive slugfest and records don't really matter.
And I would have liked to see how Cutler would have done had he been healthy too. He has a penchant for throwing interceptions at key times. Oh wait, Haney did that too.
Roethlisberger is a fine qb but the Packer defense is great too, even in their decimated state. Packers win 27-21. GO PACK!

It wasn't the Packer's best game.
