I don't know if there are any other member's interested in following this, but if there are, I would really enjoy having a thread going about it.

She left on September 18th from Sydney and has been in very calm conditions since departing.

1. Just in case there is someone else who is interested in this, but didn't see it,

I am shamelessly kicking.

Jessica in now twos weeks in. She's gone about 1500 miles. The weather has been pretty fair. She did have a couple of days of 13 foot seas and winds close to 30 knots and had no problems.

Of course the hardest parts are definitely in front of here, but she seems to be adjusting fine to the solitude and daily routine.

2. Maybe it's just me

but isn't 16 a little young for this sort of thing? I see she already crashed into a cargo ship during a trial run last month..

3. I have to agree with you on this Upton. Whether it is a 16 yo boy or girl

that's awfully young.

4. There has been a lot of debate on that subject. I really liked this article by Tania

Aebi that discusses the whole age issue, but then Tania Aebi is one of my heroes.

5. It seems like she is just slightly younger

than other youngest circumnavigators.
