Bow down before the glory that is the Big Ten, you peons!
Michigan State, My Badgers, and eventual champ Illinois. Step aside Hoosiers, there's a new corn-fed breed of basketball now. 3 teams in the great 8

1. I am sick of ESPN and Billy Packer unhinging their jaws for Coach K
Truth and justice prevailed, and nearly half the teams left are from the naturally superior Big 10 (11).

4. As a Wisconsin alum living in ACC country...
I am LOVING this tournament! Hopefully the Badgers will complete the ACC-killing hat trick on Sunday.

GO BUCKY!

8. Thanks...
It was especially enjoyable to watch the UW-NCSU and DU-MSU games in a room full of ACC fans in Durham last night (not that I was gloating!).

9. Gooooo State....
Salute to the Big Ten's best... Illinois, Wisconsin and my Favorite... the Michigan State Spartans.
Kentucky should be a battle, they are a great team with a great history, but MSU is playing inspired ball right now.. the best they have played all season. I think the Spartans will prevail....

Three Big 10 teams in the Elite Eight is great but..

Three Big 10 teams in the final four would be awesome!!

Then of course a Big 10 finals...

I would love to see MSU have another chance at Wisconsin.. I don't think the Spartans would collapse like they did in Madison. Then there would be Illinois....but... you know what... if Wisconsin beat MSU... I would love to see them play the Illini again.

11. I would love a Big Ten finals, but...
clearly the rest of the world is not taken by Wisconsin's ugly style of play (as seen on ESPN.com):

Here are the worst things that could happen to the tournament from this point on:

1) Wisconsin wins it all
Offensive basketball is set back four decades. Bo Ryan becomes an even bigger know-it-all. And those uniforms, with the numbers visible from Mars and no names on the back ...

Wasn't there a resolution passed in 2000, after Dick Bennett's squad scored 41 points in a national semifinal, prohibiting the Badgers' return to the Final Four? Even with a different coach, Wisconsin is still hard to watch, having scored more than 64 points just once in its last nine games.

Enjoying the Wisconsin-North Carolina State game Friday will be a chore. First team to 50 might win that one in a catatonic Carrier Dome. And if the Badgers do win, it could derail a possible North Carolina-N.C. State regional final, which would be fun simply for all the pressure heaped on the Tar Heels.

Nevertheless, I am happy...

12. LoL.... the scrappy defense of Wisconsin will give any team a fit...
I know... I watched MSU struggle to get into a rhythm. I enjoy Wisconsin's style of play. I think it shows why college basketball is so competitive. Switching defenses ... man to man, zone... and everything in between. If you can't match up right you lose. State plays a fast in your face type game and when faced with the stingy defense of a Wisconsin team the game stays close. Tom Izzo will figure something out this time though.... one thing ..Wisconsin won't be on their home court and that played a large role in the loss MSU had against them.

Good Luck though... Go Badgers...:-)

15. Speaking from Illini territory
I'm hoping Badgers or Michigan State get to the Finals...

if for any reason, God forbid, Illini isn't one of the final two...but if they get to dance, they have a good chance to beat either one of them since they have done it twice...

Go Bagers and Spartans--good luck! :hi:

17. The Arizona game last night was one of the greatest I have ever seen...
Illinois dodged a rocket propelled grenade.... not just a bullet with that game. My sister lives in Champaign and works for the U of I.... I had to call her when they went into overtime.. she was having a hard time breathing. Anyway... I am hoping to have my Spartans play Illinois again... not because I we already have beat them... just because I want to have MSU beat the best team in the country to win another National title.

Onward to the final four......

Go Badgers and MSU !!!

:toast:

Unfortunately, North Carolina is a better team. If Devin Harris was still a Badger though...GO Michigan State! Big Ten all the way!

21. Sorry to see Wisconsin eliminated...
They played a competative game....

I thought that when the score was 71 - 72 and UNC hadn't made a field goal for around three minutes ... they missed their opportunity to pull ahead and put pressure on the Tar Heels to play catch up.

I will say, I would have never thought that UNC would have scored in the eighties against the Badgers...

As for the MSU game... all I can say is WOW... a nail biter right to the end....How about Brown for MSU... outstanding game... he went 9 out of 10 on field goals. Austin bracket MVP!!!

Illinois v Michigan State for the National Championship...hopefully!!

even though it would have decimated my bracket even further (my bracket got busted by Bucknell)
