McCain/Palin call themselves Christian, well guess what they are not True Christians.

Do not rob the poor because he is poor, Nor oppress the afflicted at the gate;
-Proverbs 22:22

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,
storing up for themselves a good fundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. - 1 Timothy 6:17-19

So there it is McCain/Palin. Those that are rich are suppose to share their riches with others. It's all in the Bible.

So anyone has another bible verse be so kindly to share with us all.

1. If someone would just read them the Constitution, I'd be happy.

2. i wish they'd all read the Gospel of Thomas
Jesus said, "If those who lead you say to you, 'See, the kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty."

Jesus said, "That which you have will save you if you bring it forth from yourselves. That which you do not have within you will kill you if you do not have it within you."

His disciples said to him, "When will the kingdom come?"
Jesus said, "It will not come by waiting for it. It will not be a matter of saying 'here it is' or 'there it is.' Rather, the kingdom of the father is spread out upon the earth, and men do not see it."

3. We are a secular country.
We don't set our national policy based on religious doctrine, and for good reason. I want my nation's tax policy to be formulated by somebody who has a sound grasp of economics, not by somebody who says I need to "trust in the living God."

Obama's tax plan is a progressive income tax. He doesn't need to rely on ancient mysticism to promote his plan. It's the soundest and fairest way of obtaining revenue. That should be enough.

4. AGREE 100%
Put away the damn bible and read some good books. I certainly don't want a government based on the bible.

Besides the cute little verses in the OP, the bible also excuses murder, rape, pillaging, war, slavery, and other "sins" that I really don't want my government to be involved in.

Ditch the bible, pick up Thomas Paine!

5. I'm reading Paine right now.
He's pretty good. He totally eviscerates the concept of monarchy. Hereditary rule is quickly dispatched thusly: how did kings become kings in the first place? One of three ways; by election - if the people should decide a man fit to rule, they are making no judgment on his son's capabilities; by lot - if a man should become a leader by having his name drawn out of a hat, he himself was not legitimately chosen, to say nothing of his son; and usurpation - a man that rules through deceit, trickery, or outright physical dominance has not earned his position, and cannot give the position legitimacy through nepotism. He also remarks that a republic guards against a leader that is too young, too old, too drunk, or too stupid. One of the original merits of democracy was that you couldn't get a frat boy in the highest office. That's what makes these past two elections so troubling. A drunken sot won a majority of the votes of Americans. And yet again we are faced with a man that is both too old and too stupid to lead.
