A jury in place for the Monica Cluck trial. Seven women and five men, and two male alternates, were selected Tuesday in the case of the church youth group director having sexual relations with two underage boys.
During opening statements, Greene County Deputy Prosecutor Kimberly Dale described Cluck, 26, of Rector, as a woman that appeared to be a good role model who taught children lessons on God, the Bible, and the wrongs of drugs, alcohol and premarital sex.
“These minors looked up to Monica,” Dale said. “All the while, she was doing things with two members of the class that were not only inappropriate but against the law. She is an adult woman and the two teens are 15 and 17 year old boys who still live at home with their parents and still go to school. We’re not here to cast any judgments but everyone is subject to following the law.”
Cluck’s attorney, Randel Miller, said there are two sides to every story and this case was no exception to that rule. Miller described how Monica was a model child growing up, how she helped her mother, Dot Newsom, with Teens are Concerned and Teens of North East
Arkansas conferences; how she went to Arkansas State University and graduated and became a teacher. He said during that time she attended Marmaduke First Baptist Church and formed the Singing Hands youth group.

#1. Our "Teacher of the Year!" - Husband Gives Cops Video of Teacher Wife Having Sex With Underage Boy
Monica Ann Cluck was a kindergarten and Sunday school teacher in Paragould, Arkansas and even lead the Singing Hands sign-language choir at her church.
But apparently the teen aged boys in the choir did more than sign with their hands. Last week Cluck's husband reportedly found a videotape of her having sex with a teen aged boy from the choir and did what any man would do: he gave it to police and had his wife arrested on first-degree sexual assault charges.
During their investigation, police claim that the 17-year-old victim acknowledged the relationship and since this story first broke, a second boy has come forward claiming that he also had a relationship with Cluck that started late last year when he was 15 and ended in May of this year. Both boys were in a church group she taught at (I'm not making this up!) Marmaduke First
Baptist Church.
