Did anyone else think this was a strange comment for Vanessa Kerry to make
Edited on Mon Nov-22-04 10:01 PM by Jasper 91
When she was talking about the large voter turnout , she said that 56 million people voted for her father and 59 million voted for 'HIM'. It just struck me as a very peculiar way to address * . While everything she and Alexandra said was diplomatic, as one would expect, this comment stood out because she couldn't even bring herself to address * as president. I know we are all dismissive of and even abusive to *, but we don't have to watch what we say. However, for Vanessa to call * 'him', gives me hope that something significant is going on.

Does anyone else think it was an odd thing to say, or do you think I am just wishful thinking?

2. I just had a whole thread about my feelings....
of a definite shift going on. I did not feel it before this, but kept my mouth shut. But suddenly I feel the Kerry people know something we dont, the wording is interesting, 17,000 lawyers on the ground in OH, I dont know, I could be all wrong, but I feel something different today.

8. I'm not necessarily implying that 'Kerry will unconcede'
More that Vanessa doesn't think * was really elected President.

5. Can something be wrong with the amount of voters?
Edited on Mon Nov-22-04 10:55 PM by GingerSnaps
Possibly when you add both figures together it doesn't equate to the amount of voters that exsist unless they voted twice or are non exsistant.

7. How could she get the numbers WRONG!!!???
Her father has now exceeded 57 million votes while Bush is over 60 million. Didn't anybody bother to brief her?

13. That was the campaign lingo pretty much:
don't mention bush's name unless you absolutely have to.

I am sure she is still kind of programmed that way.

14. I think there is considerable animosity.
Forget the Skull and Bones brotherhood. Look at Kerry's history attacking BCCI he has crossed the Bush family many times over the years.

20. I watched the Larry King interview.
She was very controlled and cold where Bush was concerned.

Bush obviously does not like Kerry, notice he never acknowledges his opponent or supporters.

as those who voted for my opponent.

He's a very small man.

...just plain exaspersation.

I know I can't say *'s name or even watch "him" on TV. And while I worked for the Kerry campaign, I was never personally pitted, as she and Alexandra were, against the dark side. Needless to say, in many ways, we feel her pain.

27. just a heartfelt aversion
I think she is so like many of us who refuse to acknowledge *him* as anything - much less the occupant of the white house. I personally hate to even utter his name. I don't think it is indicative of some "hidden knowledge" about these recounts.

28. Speaking of indelicate behavior...
...aren't HIS daughters prescription drug addicts or something? Aren't they supposed to be like the best advertisements for the ruling class since Paris and whatshername Hilton? Why the bush didn't the kerry campaign use his daughters more, contrast them with those other two, play up the we go values angle?

Of course, correct me if I'm wrong...would hate to defame...
