1. The Rethugs will fight that tooth and nail. In Washington they went to court to stop
exactly that kind of count -- by hand with 3 people looking at each ballot. They insisted that machine counting and recounting was more accurate.

This was during the last election for Governor, which was decided by less than 100 votes. They lost that particular battle -- but they'll be BACK!!!

3. To be honest, the prospect of mass election fraud...
using those fucking electronic, easily hackable voting machines terrifies me. I don't know what we can do. People have taken this to court, and lost time and time again. I feel helpless about this particular issue.

4. How "two individual locks" insures...
two independent and trustworthy yet adversarial counting factions in *every* precinct, let alone sufficient "public witnesses" to keep them in check.

:hi:

Yep. And securing 800 polling places that are usually school libraries or church basements until counting more than 1000 different ballot formats gets done would be a piece of cake too.

And while machines can cheat, it's flat out not possible for your neighbors to cheat.

And I'm Marie of Roumania.
