Florida Democratic Party Wants Federal Probe On Rep. Buchanan
August 14, 2008 8:51 a.m. EST

Kris Alingod - AHN News Writer

Tallahassee, FL (AHN) - The Florida Democratic Party asked the FBI on Wednesday to investigate allegations of illegal business practices and violations of campaign finance laws against Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-FL).

Buchanan, who has interests in 25 auto dealerships, has been accused by former employees of engaging in fraudulent business practices and forcing them to contribute to his 2006 election campaign.

Party Communications Director Eric Jotkoff called the allegations "serious charges" in a statement on the party's website.

...

Joe Kezer, a former finance director at Buchanan's Sarasota Ford dealership, filed a lawsuit in May accusing the first-term congressman of dismissing and retaliating against him because he had refused to participate in questionable business practices.

Questionable BUSINESS practice? While investigating, perhaps the FBI should also determine whether Buchanan forced his employees to vote via mail-in (absentee) ballots.

1. another 'stolen election' winner....
he's my local congressman, and he is a perfect example of the newage neocon 'good old boy'...

the only thoughts in this guy's head are:

...tee times at the club

...cocktails with his boys

...daily checklist on bushco talking points

...wink and a nod to the others 'splitting the cake'

vern has no leadership abilities that would benefit anyone outside his gang of crooks, and he has exhibited no desire to make any changes...

after all, why would he?

maybe Christine Jennings (who got ripped off so obviously in 2006 - some 16,000+ less votes in the Jennings-Buchanan race were cast than total votes cast for other races on the same ballots) can get over this time...but who knows?...this is Florida, WEST COAST Florida, prime cut-the-cake Florida...
