Are the 1996 election results for Florida or Ohio by district/precinct
available anywhere?? I think comparing 2004 to 2000 is ridiculous in Florida.

2. I thought that too... I saw a link somewhere where someone found em...
on the SOS site I think.

I would like to add the 1996 results to my analysis too.

4. Are you going to do this via link below? Your analysis is
far more likely to make an impact than mine :-) And I'd have to input all of 2000 and 2004 first!

Thanks for all you've done - are you an ex-pat or just a dedicated journalist?

If you can be bothered I can send you the spreadsheet and you could add the data for 1996.

You can use this to search election results in florida back to 1978 (1980 is first presidential). First find the particular election(e.g., 1992 general); then find the particular race (Presidential). When that page comes up, click on the "President of the United States" link above the summary vote toals and it'll give you a county by county breakdown.

7. Thanks... first observation
Clinton 2,546,600 + Dole 2,244,164 = 4.7 million
Kerry 3570912 + Bush 3952308 = 7.523220

Clearly democracy is on the charge in Florida.. especially for the republicans. They have pickd up 1.7 million voters in 8 years.
