Audit of OR Lottery finds computer security flaws
http://www.katu.com/news/story.asp?ID=73966

SALEM, Ore. - A state audit has found that the Oregon Lottery needs to tighten user access to computer data in order to improve security.
The study was released yesterday by the state Audit's Division. It recommends that Oregon Lottery managers review computer-access rights when responsibilities for an employee are changed or added.

It says managers should develop ways to advise employees to secure their workstations from unauthorized access to sensitive information stored on their computer terminals.

The Oregon Lottery runs its own computer system and is not scheduled to be part of the state's consolidated data center.

Today in the discussion, Maxine Waters said Lottery systems are MORE secure than voting systems. This instills confidence.:(
