Does Reid's action of standing with Boxer redeem him?

There has been quite alot of criticism of Harry Reid on DU (including by me) but now that he is one of four who stood with Boxer does that partially redeem him in your eyes? I must say I'm surprised by his doing this.

Of course, I was always a vocal defender of Reid. So this isn't the first time I've said so.
