Brunswick's mayor, Judith Beadell-Rapp easily won re-election to a seventh term.
Beadell-Rapp, a real estate agent, served on the City Council from 1976 to 1985. She was ecstatic following last night's vote. "Thank the wonderful, nice people of Brunswick. The vote shows the city is running in a positive way," she said.

But in Brunswick, voters couldn't get enough of the incumbents in yesterday's election.
Mayor Judith Beadell-Rapp and every incumbent council member running for re-election appeared headed for victory. And for the one open council seat, voters selected Steve Hambley, a councilman from 1990 to 1991.
The races were low-key, as the city election took a back seat to the Brunswick City School District's apparently unsuccessful attempt to pass an income tax increase.
