Does Anyone Outside of DU or other forums, bloggers, etc. care?
I really wonder!

I mean this is so damned serious

there has been fraud in one form or another, and probably many forms in this and other elections, and yet the MSM and others seem to say just move along nothing to see here.

I'M REALLY PISSED!

trying to maintain hope!

1. Word is getting out!
Today, I spent some time with the Seniors at the church. I casually mentioned that there was a recount happening in Ohio, and ALL of them chimed in, "I KNOW! I'm so excited!"

Then I added, "there's a congressional hearing tomorrow to investigate problems in Ohio." Seniors: "I hope they find something and get to change the results of this election."

Little old ladies - who read the paper and watch the news on TV. Little old ladies in Wisconsin - a BLUE state - they care.

5. Cool!
why is it that our old are thrown on the scrap heap in our youth oriented society?

maybe it's because they can see through the lies, because they've seen it all before

17. Because they are not viable work units.
Bush's "ownership based" economy doesn't apply to people who do not have to work for his friends in order to gain that ownership. If you aren't in so much debt that you will work like a dog, do unethical things for your boss, and generally be entirely economically submissive, you aren't allowed to play.

People suck. "Entitled" people suck harder. I realized that many years ago, it's only my seemingly unlimited patience that keeps me from throwing up my hands, saying "fuck it" and turning to a life of crime. Or just moving someplace where less people suck.

9. Hey Cheesehead (I'm a native Cheesehead, too).
Loved your story, but I think you can take that even further...once you get them talking about it, try to get them INVOLVED...even if they've never used the internet.

You know about the people's Email Network, for example?

11. Personally
we need all the momentum we can gather for this train, and this might be an excellent opportunity to mend some fences along the way that the right wing media has torn apart.
Conservatives and Liberals have never been so divided thanks to the talking heads of the last 10 or so years, and certainly there used to be a level of mutual respect when cooler more reasonable heads prevailed.
Now it's all about hate and calling the other side down, and all thanks to a small minority who choose to keep us bickering instead of finding common ground and consensus. The retched minority plan is that of destruction of a two party system. No checks and balances like before.

19. Actually you're wrong on that point......
.....and if you'll allow me to, I'll attempt to explain why. :)

The right to participate in a democratic republic governed by, of, and for 'the people' infers the right to hold elections upon 'the people' as a 'class' barring any political affiliation beforehand. Regardless of our political affiliations, "we the people" have the right to hold elections to determine who will represent our common interests.

Our "elected representatives" have taken it upon themselves to attempt to codify their right to control the canvas of our elections, a situation that has to raise red flags to any thinking person regardless of political persuasion. I strongly suspect that despite whatever prejudice you may have against any political party that some members of that party know that whether they are living under their dictator or your dictator, ultimately they're still living under a dictator. It's going to take all of us to take our elections back.
Not all Republicans are Neo-Con's and some of them understand all too well what's going on. You are only kidding yourself if you think otherwise. You should be thankful for what common ground you can find and attempt to build on that unless your goal is to 'divide and concur'.

8. Yes, I went to common cause meeting today in DC
One of the things that really struck me was how pasionate many members of the audience were. They clapped when speakers said the things we've been saying, they were not afraid of the F word, their questions were pertinent, on target, and passionate. I talked to a number of them during breaks. There is a group of people out there (20% of Americans according to poll) who think there was something wrong with the election. What we have to do, is to reafch out more to these other groups. No one, for example, knew about the march sunday.

The passion is there to be harnessed.

10. They care, it's just that we're the ones on the front lines.
My little gaggle of friends rely on me to give them the updates. So far, the hardest ones to convince are those who think that this election just can't be turned around.

I can be pretty convincing, though :D

12. My husband thinks there were no problems at all.....
and that the fool he voted for really won this election in a landslide.

If I still decide to leave the country because this election stays stolen, he's not coming with me.

16. We had a successful town hall meeting last nite
In our little town of San Luis Obispo CA. Over 100 people showed up.
It was a smashing succcess. People are starting to take notice, we just have to keep up the pressure.

If you want to see a few faces of pissed off voters go to our new little site - www.investigatethevote.org more photos and video to come.
