Former Democratic Party Chairman Mike Callaghan announced he's setting up an exploratory committee for a potential congressional run. And Erik Wells, the runner-up last fall, said he started campaigning again the day after the election.

"I must make the job look like a lot of fun," said Rep. Shelley Moore Capito, the incumbent for the 2nd Congressional District.

The question is, will we? We will if we are energetic, enthusiastic, generous and tireless. ShellyMC doesn't represent mainstream West Virginians any more than a tuna fish represents canteloups.

It will all come down to money and activism. The right seems to have an endless supply of cash to destroy character with, and in order to win this, we have to be very clever in getting and using wisely the cash to block their efforts.

I can't stand Shelley Moore Capito! Every time I write to her I get an automated response which basically endorses anything that Bush says. She's a freaking robot Bush ass kisser! I voted for Wells. He is a very nice person, and very smart man. I think he'd make a fine Representative. I met his wife at a local dems club function here in Hampshire County. Her name is Natalie Tennant, and she ran for office herself a while back. She's very smart, well mannered, and savvy. Capito doesn't give a shit about the people in this district, only what Bush wants.

6. natalie should have picked another race in 2004

we had too many qualified candidates (natalie, hechler)or guys with high name recommendation(pritt, or even -ugh- oliverio)in the SOS primary


it was too crowded a field, but she ran agreat campaign and came in a close 2nd to good ol' ken.

7. Eric Wells -- a rising star in the WV Dem Party

Wonderful speaker, young, energetic and charismatic. I'd love to see him grab the seat from that total Bush-licker. That vile Capito is the epitome of a Bush lapdog.
