Search for ex-gov's son suspended after grisly find

ATHENS, Texas � Authorities have temporarily suspended a search for the son of former Texas Gov. Bill Clements after finding a body in a shallow grave on the property of the man's neighbor.

The Dallas Morning News reported Saturday that the body has not been identified, but that Henderson County Sheriff Ray Nutt says the search for 69-year-old B. Gill Clements has been paused pending identification by the medical examiner.

The body was found on the property of Howard Todd Granger, a 46-year-old neighbor of B. Gill Clements. Police shot Granger dead Friday afternoon while trying to serve a search warrant at his home.
