The end of an error - and a new beginning for America
Edited on Tue Jan-20-09 09:06 AM by sonias
I am so excited about today. No I couldn't make it to D.C, but I'm watching the whole thing today with my neighbors this morning and then going to one of the Austin inauguration balls.

People actually camped out overnight at the Washington mall. Bless them - it's got to be so freaking cold.

Photo streams are already popping up everywhere.

1. I regret and get a bit angry that I am 8 years older now and had to wait this long for today
Edited on Tue Jan-20-09 09:11 AM by Gman
or that I even had to wait at all considering what happened in Florida in 2000. I get a bit angry and bitter when I think about this. But things will be better. The nightmare is over.

3. And a new beginning here in Texas...
We should remember the thousands who turned out in Midland to welcome him home. The end of one era. The beginning of another. For them as well as us if we are not careful. The Bushes and their dynasty.
