Report from Central Texas
Four years ago about six people showed up at my precinct caucus This year it was 85 people.

We split 53-32 for Clinton.

This is a mostly Anglo Middle Class college educated district, heavy with retirees.

You are welcome to interpret this any way you want to, I'm just reporting.

1. reporting from Houston caucus....
we had a very large turnout to caucus: 187 people total 105 for Clinton, and 82 for Obama. That gave us 15 delegates for Clinton and 12 for Obama.

Our district was also heavily weighted towards educated, retirees. Just reporting here as well....

5. Remember that we were allocated 103 delegates to the SD
So of course my PCT was going to turn out and vote. I knew they would turn out to caucus too. We had 12 Obama PCT captains and that's how we won the PCT and the caucus. We Baracked the vote!

We had kids and elderly people but mainly a whole lot of young people to worked it hard. Like I said before I am so ready to turn over the world to these new young hipsters. They rock.

Enjoy Vegas for us. :toast:

7. honey move to my PCT and I'll put you to work
I will give a lot of credit to my PCT Chair who was a Clinton supporter but who I knew would be fair. We had an early meeting before election day to work together. I told her to prepare for a thousand and they didn't believe me. So they had to make many many extra copies of the sign-in sheets which the principal at the school helped us with. And again I'll give credit to my crew of PCT captains for Obama. We were on time, prepared and organized in a potential sea of caos. We brought snacks and water and tea and passed it out to our waiting neighbors, but of course we ran out. But still, those poor people could have been waiting 4 hours without anything to calm them down. Our chair took the the microphone several times to keep the crowd updated. We had to keep adjusting the number of sign in tables to accommodate the crowds. But because we had trained all of our PCT captains on how to do check ins, we were prepared to grow with the flow.

I think we did an outstanding job working together.

Now I'm going to spend the whole rest of the day working on paperwork.

Seriously though, you are welcome to move to my dark blue hood anytime. Or visit too. :hi:
