Memorial for 1000th American death in Iraq


Sadly, about an hour ago, CNN announced the 1000th U.S. military personnel death in the war with Iraq. Therefore, since what we thought might not occur until tomorrow or Thursday, occurred today, the memorial vigil has been scheduled for tomorrow evening. Please join us at City Hall Plaza, 1500 Marilla, for a memorial vigil, remembering these 1000 as well as the tens of thousands of Iraqi who have died in this war. We will begin gathering at 6:30 p.m. with a prayer at 7 p.m. leading into a silent candlelight vigil.

This vigil is also being supported by Veterans for Peace, Military Families Speak Out and North Texas for Justice and Peace. Please show your support for our troops as well as the thousands of Iraqi's killed in this unprovoked war by attending this silent candlelight vigil. We are encouraging people to bring candles in order to represent at least the 1000 soldiers killed in action.
