If you are in the Dallas Ft. Worth area you need to pay attention to this one!

The Trans Texas Corridor project will by pass most large cities by several miles. Not up here in DFW! The mayors have proposed changing the preferred route to move some of the traffic right through the metroplex. The proposed plan would route the corridor directly to the center of the metroplex, using the HWY 360 corridor, dump trucking onto I-20 east and west, create a new auto route from I-20 north through Grand Prairie and Irving and around N Dallas and back to I-35.

The original plan was to have a 2-10 mile wide easement with rail, heavy truck and auto thoroughfares running parallel to the east of Dallas. The new plan splits the traffic up and routes it all over the place.

I mean, we have that pay as you go thing going on which means 35 will NEVER be done. This will not get finished in my lifetime.

I dont understand how people thing "pay as you go" will work for our government; they should try driving on Southbound 35 sometime
