Rep. Lloyd Doggett, Texans best friend in Washington, could use your help
As you all recall, Congressman Lloyd Doggett was one of the principal targets of Tom DeLay’s corrupt re-redistricting scheme that intentionally divided communities across Texas.

In a bad faith effort to oust Congressman Doggett (and without any concern for the many Texans whose representation was affected), DeLay warped Lloyd Doggett's home district into a 350 mile strip from Austin to the Mexican border. Unlike some other less fortunate targets of the DeLay re-districting debacle, Congressman Doggett was able to hold on to his seat, despite DeLay's best efforts, through his hard work and the support of many good Texans.

Because the new district that Congressman Doggett represents is so blatantly gerrymandered, it is a difficult and expensive district to campaign within. Congressman Doggett, who has been there time and time again for us, could use our help now.

Whether you can help with your time or a donation, now is the time to help. If you are interested, please visit Congressman Doggett's website at www.votedoggett.com.

1. Lloyd will always get my help if he asks
I haven't seen any requests come across his list. I'm not in his district anymore, but I still consider him my congressman. Is he gearing up for his next election already? He just got elected in Nov.

I know it's never too early to start.

Sonia

I am in his district and when i offered to help a couple of months ago I was told that nothing is happening until we get much closer to election!!!

They got my name, I am busy helping people and organizations that want help.

They can always get back in touch with me though.

3. Until now, I understand Congressman Doggett was very busy
representing the constituents of his newly re-drawn district, and was not as focused on his campaign. Now, I understand that he's turning some of his efforts to getting campaign up to speed. If he didn't need your campaign help a few months ago, I know he heeds it now.
