DeLay protested at NASA. Again.
""

Nassau Bay Police was ready for protestors during the dedication of a wall in front of NASA. They had a "free speech zone" ready for us on the other side of a building, but we instead went across the street on Houston public property and set up IN FRONT of the wall.

Needless to say, they threatened us with arrest for a number of reasons, disturbing a City public meeting, but not allowing us to attend the public meeting. blocking traffic, which we were not doing, stopping traffic, again, not doing. Standing in front of the wall on public property. We were doing that.

No one got arrested, but we made quite a ruckus. DeLay did not appreciate it and left right after the ceremony. The chanting of TOMMY, MONEY might have had something to do with it.

Meanwhile Spanky went to NASA and the guards LET HIM IN! But later the campus police put out an all points bulletin and surrounded the driver. After a few phone calls they were released.

Just another day for North Galveston County Democrats and Bay Area New Democrats.

2. Thank You North Galveston County Democrats & Bay Area New Democrats.
Once again you are standing up for all of us. You make us proud! We love all your energy. Good news about Spanky getting out of "jail". Imagine that, they almost imprisoned Spanky. Why that's un-American, not letting Uncle Sam Spanky spank that corrupt little DeLay bastard.

4. the "Threads of Democracy"
I think that our Democracy is hanging by threads, and each thread has a name.

One is named johncoby2.

One is named the police chief that resisted Jeb Bush's stormtroopers in Florida when they tried to kidnap Terri from the hospice.

One is named Barbara Boxer.

One is named Melody Townsel.

5. Were you able to break out the prison uniform again?
That was truly hilarious, John. Apparently The Daily Show thought so, too. Well done, and keep it up!

6. Great job
If I didn't work on Saturdays and could afford the gas I'd be there with you.

Have any events planned for the weekend of June 10-12? I'll be driving down to the Beaumont/Pt Arthur area to visit my grandpa, but could easily swing up for a good protest.

Check the story link for the picture. I didn't want to link to photo and violate copyright. Plus the article is extra juicy. More trouble for the bugman.

DeLay Airfare Was Charged To Lobbyist's Credit Card
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A12416-2005Apr23.html
The airfare to London and Scotland in 2000 for then-House Majority Whip Tom DeLay (R-Tex.) was charged to an American Express card issued to Jack Abramoff, a Washington lobbyist at the center of a federal criminal and tax probe, according to two sources who know Abramoff's credit card account number and to a copy of a travel invoice displaying that number.

DeLay's expenses during the same trip for food, phone calls and other items at a golf course hotel in Scotland were billed to a different credit card also used on the trip by a second registered Washington lobbyist, Edwin A. Buckham, according to receipts documenting that portion of the trip.

Rally Americans Indict DeLay!

10. Excellent [/Mr. Burns]
I'd sure hate to live in that piece of shit's district. The miracle of his consistent re-election is enough to make me wonder about the limitlesness of human stupidity.
