Development/Outreach Coordinator


The Texas Freedom Network (TFN), a statewide, nonprofit organization located in Austin, seeks a full-time Development/Outreach Coordinator. The Texas Freedom Network advances the mainstream agenda of religious freedom and individual liberties to counter the radical right.

The Development/Outreach Coordinator will work closely with TFN's Development Director and Outreach Director. Responsibilities will involve many facets of the organization's statewide fundraising program and outreach efforts to increase donations and membership, including:

· organize and execute all fundraising events;
· recruit and manage fundraising event committee members;
· research and assist in writing grant applications;
· track donations and monitor financial goals;
· coordinate outreach efforts and membership meetings;
· manage membership recruitment and retention programs;
· build, track and encourage member leaders with regular contact;
· coordinate and energize volunteers;
· manage logistics for ad hoc fundraising and outreach projects.

All staff assist in general office responsibilities, including correspondence, data entry, answering phones and working with volunteers. Travel and working long and/or irregular hours are required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Applicants must have at least two years of fundraising experience; be well organized, resourceful and persistent; possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; and demonstrate a commitment to the mission and goals of the organization. Applicants must be highly motivated self-starters who are able to work independently and in a team environment. Bilingual is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access is required.

COMPENSATION: Annual salary of $35,000 to $42,000, commensurate with experience; benefits include health and dental insurance, 401(k) plan, generous paid vacation, personal leave and holidays.
