1. Aging rapidly
due to his gutting of TennCare. He's hellbent to cut spending when the money's not there. I believe he is a good man, means well, and works hard, but realizes something has to be done to reel in this fiscal train wreck. I believe also that he will find a way to ensure Tennessee's most vulnerable do not go without adequate healthcare.

He is a damn good fiscally conservative democrat. He is smart, resourceful and dedicated to public service. He's not even taking a salary to be our fine Governor. May the forces of good guide him.

2. Yup....I agree!
Hopefully he will be re-elected in the next election, too. He should be. He is a good man and he knows how evil the gopers are.

3. Is he a Presidential Prospect?
How would he look as a presdiential prospect? Where is he on the issues? I've dug quite a bit but can't find anything with much detail on his opinions.

5. no way....
Though I personally believe he would make an excellent president, he has the personality of a turnip and he would NEVER get the nomination. The media successfully painted Al Gore as "stiff"....they would have Bredesen pegged "boring" for sure. Bredesen is a terrific governor and person.....I do like him but I don't think anyone outside this area would give him a chance.
