Any DU'ers know where gas is in Nashville?
West side of town if possible? Everything is completely out - as are we.

1. Sorry my friend
I cannot help. Luckily I have enough to last til Tuesday. But here's the thing. On our radio show this morning, the host talked to a guy who delivers gas. He says there is plenty, but greedy selfish (probably Republican)(parentheses mine)people are topping tanks and filling can after can with all they can haul. He made the analogy of a bathtub with the faucet running and the drain slightly draining. Normally the supply keeps the tub at an even level. But when the greedy "I'll get mine, screw you" crowd gets going, they drain the tub faster thatn it can be filled.

Governor Bredesen is requesting gas be diveted from areas without the panic (NY, Boston). Meanwhile, in the bastion of the Christian right, many people are lovong their nieghbor by "borrowing" his share of gas. As we say here in the south dripping as much sarcasm as we can "Bless their hearts."

3. According to the Television stations
We're the only ones who are panic buying. People topping off tanks, filling gas cans.... We must just be the assholes of the state.

5. That, And There's Some Pipeline At Play
This is one case where I would support price gouging, at this point.

4. Last Night
The Sunocos in Belle Meade and the intersection of Franklin PK & Old Hickory Blvd had some - and the lines to go with them.

I've got enough in my tank to last me through Wednesday or Thursday, thank goodness.

6. I just heard about this from someone in the Nashville office
of the company I work for. It explains why I found so many "working from home" emails in my inbox this morning - all of them from Nashville collegues, but no one said why.

The person I spoke to is blaiming panic buying and people just topping off their tanks (not that he knows more than any of you).

Has this been posted in General Discussion. It's interesting, and sounds like it should be a lesson to all of us.

7. It's Been in GD
But has been too much of a regional thing to get picked up on, for the most part.
