Bad sickness in Spartanburg, a LTTE
This little jem from this mornings Spartanburg Herald Journal:

snip

As a patriotic American and Christian nationalist, I say America is for the descendants of the founding race and founding religion. Death to the globalist new world order, the modern Tower of Babel and and its humanists gospel of "diversity".

snip

Both Bible and natural law demand racial and religious segregation.

end

Bad, twisted person. The overall message of this nutso screed was nativist/isolationist, even against us being in Iraq, which was the sole bit of sanity in an otherwise very disturbed missive.

2. Sparkleberry, huh?
My people on my mom's side are all from there(think: Littlejohn). My experience is that such sentiments would receive the credence they deserve from most people there:

None.

My grandmother would have called such writings "unseemly", a damning comment from a Southern Baptist woman of her era.

3. you're right
The deranged knuckle draggers are not numerous but they can sure be loud. It will be interesting to see what responses it generates.

It is frustrating that the SHJ publishes such but makes me jump through numerous fact checking hoops when I critique the maladministration. Total whores for bu$h, they regularly omit reporting bad news for junior, burying it on page 13 isn't good enough, it is as though it never happened.

4. Sounds like the same
Spartanburg I left 25 years ago.

I only lived there a couple of years. Met some great people, too. But most people I met in this area of SC would have agreed with this letter.

Hope I never have to return.

5. Spartanburg-Greenville
I also left the SC home of the Christian Taliban over 20 years ago. I still visit and can report it has gotten worse. As I've said before, if Jesus was to show up as a Democrat they'd crucify him again.
