Thought I'd post this in case any SW PA DU'ers take your dogs there. Jim Steiner of Perryopolis said he took his two dogs, Doc Holiday and Coral Bella, to Ohiopyle State Park on Saturday to hunt grouse for "a day of fun."
The day turned deadly for Coral, a 3-year-old mixed breed, when she apparently ingested chicken meat scraps tainted with antifreeze on a trail in the park. She was put to sleep Monday after suffering kidney damage.
Doc, a 6-year-old English pointer, also ate the meat but survived after being treated.
"That little dog was my life," Mr. Steiner said. "This is wrong. This is murder."

Now, Mr. Steiner is on a crusade to make sure that whoever killed his dog is caught. He said the Pennsylvania Game Commission is investigating and he has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible. Coldwell Banker Tri County Realty of Belle Vernon, where he is a real estate agent, has pledged $1,000 and he said he has other donors lined up. About $3,500 of the money will come out of his pocket.
