HELP! Democrat allegedly fired for wearing Kerry/Edwards T-shirt . . .
when he went to his place of employment in Tahlequah to pick up his check on his day off.

In Oklahoma, what is the appropriate venue for filing a grievance about this sort of employee abuse?

1. try checking with your county dem party
there were several labor lawyers in the Tulsa co dem party 'regulars' in 2000

have the impression that with the right-to-work law passed in 2001, there may be little that can be done....

3. I know people who were fired for having Kerry stickers
The tuff part is proving things when you go up against a lying sack of mucus that would fire someone for this.

7. Sadly Oklahoma Is an Employment at Will State
Which basically means that an employer can terminate an employee at any time for any reason - or for no reason at all. Major exceptions to this include those who are union members and those whose work is pursuant to the terms of a written contract of employment.

Try filing a complaint with the Labor Board. Though I have little hope that it will be effective.
