SW Ohio DUers contact Cincinnati Enquirer to complain
The right has been more vocal than the left until recently. I fear the Enquirer is chasing the Warren and Butler County no nothings subscription base. Let the Enquirer know that the left cancels subscriptions also.

1. What is there to complain about?
They made their choice, and they gave their reasons. Sometimes, we forget that others can have completely different opinions from us. This does not make them stupid, unpatriotic, evil, Nazi, or anything else. They are just different. Sometimes we forget that Senator Kerry is not a perfect man who will be right about everything, and that George Bush is not an imbecile who gets everything wrong. Their reasons for supporting George Bush are just as valid as my reasons for supporting Senator Kerry. Calling and complaining just makes us seem like sore losers. "boo hoo, they didn't endorse my candidate. I'm going to whine and cancel my subscription." For God's sake get a grip on yourselves. This is not the Apocalypse.

2. There is no valid reason to support Bush!
Anyone who supports him is a traitor or stupid. No ifs ands or buts. There are no greys in this election. This is not politics as usual. That is like saying the Nazi's had a point! And a drunk Fundamentalist who wants to facilitate the "rapture" with his finger on the button could cause the Apocalypse. You are the one that needs to get a grip!

3. They say the exact same things about us.
The world will continue on no matter what. Please, let us avoid the hysterics and be reasonable. A vote doesn't make somebody a traitor, that is absolutely absurd. I know some of the folks on that Enquirer board, they sure as hell are not idiots. They have a different way of thinking than us.

4. Actually they don't. They see us a more of a threat to what they want to
see as the American/Christian way of life. And some may see us as a threat to Capitalism. I have never heard any of them say that the world would blow up if Kerry were elected. They may think a terrorist attack may happen,Cheney tells them so. But only Bush could remotely be considered capable of pushing the button for religious ends. And you can take your the world will continue no matter what thinking and tell it to the dead soldiers and the thousands of dead Iraqis.

Do you seriously believe the "world will continue no matter what'? In what sense do you mean that? My world has been completely altered by the selection of Bush. And thousands of people no longer exist because of decisions made by this man.

They call us traitors everyday and yet they are the traitors who betray their country for self gain. You can be a traitor with your vote when your betray the interests of the nation. And they do so knowingly if they are as intelligent as you say. They do not just have a "different way of thinking" They are venal.

The majority of the Bush supporters are just stupid and reactive. If you have made any recent contact with Freeperland you would be aware that many are planning violence if Kerry is elected. Campaign sources tell me that this is an element of real concern. This is far more than just "a different way of thinking from us".

5. That the Enquirer has consistently endorsed GOP candidates
to please what they perceive as their most vocal subscriber base is a separate issue.

Endorsing an incompetent incumbent with no mention of the fiscal irresponsibility, and using the excuse that Kerry never explained how he will pay for his initiatives when Bush never explained how to pay for his either.

Advocating the rehiring of someone who as CEO of this country has not held a single official responsible is irresponsible.

No mention of the deficit, the environment, the secrecy...

If the Enquirer was afraid of losing conservative subscribers, then they should also be fearful of losing liberal subscribers.

In the age of the internet who needs them?

6. I hope the newspapers' readers "read between the lines"
and see what lame arguments those are to keep Bush in office.
