When searching DU for info about KDKA-AM I learned that KDKA in Pittsburgh once had a host critical of Bush, Mike Romigh. I then Googled his name and found that he now hosts the morning show on WKBN in Youngstown, Ohio. WKBN's signal can be heard as far out as Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Wheeling.

Romigh's has a photo of him volunteering at a soup kitchen, and show topics included shale drilling (). He also interviewed the author of Don't Know Much About History, Kenneth C. Davis (audio), about the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.

WKBN also has an afternoon host named Ron Verb. His blog from Dec. 5 expresses support from the bill introduced by Ohio's Rep. Tim Ryan (D from that region) to reverse the Republican bill from 2006 forcing the postal service to pre-fund retirement for the next 50-75 years. Verb also linked to YouTube videos about Koch Bros. oil speculation and an OWS rally.

Do you listen to these shows and what do you think of them?

It seems that WKBN has a bipartisan schedule weekdays:
- 6-9AM: Romigh (liberal)
- 9AM-12PM: Dan Rivers (conservative, see his page)
- 12-3PM: Rush (CON)
- 3-6PM: Verb (liberal)
- 6-8PM: Various programming including a "Best of Rush" hour at 7PM Tuesdays, sports, and a bonus hour of Ron Verb on Fridays 6PM
- 8-11PM: Phil Hendrie (comedy)
- 11PM-1AM: John Batchelor (conservative)

Given how the majority of Clear Channel-owned stations play the same syndicated RW hate talk and then if there are local hosts they just repeat the same old RepubliCON trash I find those in WKBN's listening area lucky to have Romigh and Verb. Where I live in Northern California there's a local talk station KGO with several great progressive talkers. Recently, KGO reformatted so that talk shows would be on weekends (but with quality hosts though) and weekdays have primarily generic news coverage.
