Family in need in Henderson, NC

My apologies if this post is incoherent. There is an avalanche of need out there and I've been desperately trying to get a new website going to be a gateway of various types of needs and offerings.

The main site isn't ready but I'm opening the forum anyway. Too many people are calling with needs. Sometimes there are TOO many places to go, and it just gets overwhelming.

This particular family is in need of many things, but specifically legal help.

I haven't gotten involved as yet with the WRAL GOLO group. They were very right-wing during the last year so it turned me off, quite frankly. Another friend remained active all the way through and, now that the election is over, she's seeing them come together nicely. It's my friend through that group who asked me to inquire about free legal help. (On Edit: they've been directed to the traditional free legal resources, but the waiting list is extreme. Part of the intention of Wishadoo -- see below -- is to connect people directly, person to person. Certainly make people aware of existing resources in the community as there's no need to reinvent the wheel, but try to tap into our humanity and learn more about our neighbors in need and how we may, in surprising ways, be able to help.)
