A Big Thank You to Everyone Who Helped in Pennsylvania

Thanks to thousands and thousands of volunteers, we have helped take back our country.

Thanks to the thousands of volunteers who travelled from New York, New Jersey and other states to Pennsylvania to help, many of whom paid their own bus fare.

Thanks to the people who provided free housing to out of state volunteers.

Thanks to all the people who gave up all their free time to register hundreds of thousands of new voters, to canvas, to make phone calls and get screamed at.

Thanks to the people who patiently explained away the smears, as they talked to confused voters.

Thanks to the drivers who made sure everyone could get to the polls, including many people with disabilities.

Thanks to the college students who organized their campuses and help raise a new generation of involved citizens.

Thanks to all the people who stood in line for over an hour to vote, and the people who passed out water, snacks and comic books to keep them in line.

Thanks to the volunteer lawyers who stood ready to deal with any problem, and who fortunately did not have to resolve any crisises.

Thanks to the hard working paid staff, who provided incredible organization and direction.

Thanks to the kids who stood on street corners with signs and screamed out their enthusiasm.

And now let us rebuild our country and save the planet together.

I wasn't able to go but lots of people from my Mohawk Valley for Obama group went to PA and reported back to us.
