They protested Torture and the Shame of St. Thomas U. at St Paul Cathedral
Edited on Sun May-24-09 11:17 PM by annm4peace
Friday evening 3 friends held up two banners on the side walks at St. Paul Cathedral.
(2 were Catholic, and 1 was St.Thomas Grad)

St. Thomas U. was having their commencement mass at the Cathedral.

That is the CATHOLIC University that still employs Law Professor Robert Delahunty who co-authored the torture memos with John Yoo.

The banners are:
"Disbar Delahunty" "Torture Destroys Us All"

One would shout out as people walked past them to get inside the Cathedral.
"Would you like a copy of the first page of the Torture memo that St. Thomas Law Professor wrote with John Yoo that it is ok to torture" or "St. Thomas ok's torture".

Only about 6 people came up to take a copy, and about 6 people said torture kept us safe. I wonder what they felt/thought as the looked up at sculpture Christ hanging on the huge cross at the Cathedral? At least they had to sit and contemplate. With the many stain glass art, and sculptures of tortured Saints.. I hope there was some thought of the shame of going to a Catholic University to condones torture.

They had 3 security guards near us the whole time, but that didn't stop them from informing those going in that St. Thomas Law Professor co-wrote the torture memo with John Yoo that allowed torture

They printed off the 1st page of the memo that shows Delahunty and Yoo's name together.

After they decided to end, and rolled their the banners and were standing talking 3 cop cars, with 3 cops showed up to tell them they can't block they sideway. Which is funny cause they were obviously done and rolled up the banners and deciding where to go eat.

Notice all the 3's.. how appropriate since they were in front of the Cathedral. *religion" hint hint

who is Deluhunty ?

T3 (Tackle Torture at the Top) has been protesting him and St. Thomas since 2003.
