OUCH !! and double OUCH !! "(state Senate) Committees on which the legislator (Robert S. Creedon, Jr.) serves:
The Judiciary (Chair)
Veterans & Federal Affairs (Vice-Chair)
Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture
State Administration & Regulatory Oversight"

In March 2004, Creedon
voted for a state constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriage attempting to over-turn
Goodridge, the Massachusetts court opinion allowing same-sex marriage in Massachusetts. This constitutional amendment failed in the state legislature which meant it would not become part of the Massachusetts constitution.
Emotions running high
Legislators, church leaders weigh in on same sex marriage
by Ed Baker
Thursday, February 12, 2004
State Rep. Robert J. Nyman, D-Hanover, and State Sen. Robert Creedon, D-Brockton, said they will support a proposed constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. The proposed amendment is drawing national attention by religious leaders, political officials, media outlets, gays and advocates for traditional marriage.

And, since the 2004 amendment failed, Creedon is trying again by
signing the
#05-02 petition for a (2008) ballot initiative to stop same-sex marriage in Massachusetts (.rtf format, Microsoft Word® required) which would amend our state constitution.
In addition, Creedon has a history of
voting in favor of so-called "pro-life" issues.
As well as Creedon stands with the Roman Catholic Church's lobby that has heavy-handedly lobbied
AGAINST public disclosure of accounting of religious institutions who's income is above $500,000/year (although the government allows tax-free status)! This is the same Church that's had to pay out millions due to their own mismanagement and cover-up of its priest pedophilia! That, in turn, claims no funds to run local parishes thus is closing parish churches across Massachusetts thereby displacing thousands of loyal parishioners.
My observation is:
What's to hide? Enough is enough!"The bill would require all religious organizations that have annual revenues of more than $500,000 to file annual financial reports. It also would require them to provide a list of real estate holdings with the Attorney General's office."

This is merely a short overview; however, I'd say that Creedon is blinded by his own religious faith; and, as such, he is devoid of reasoned thought, period. Tell Creedon what you think:
