drill for oil

I won't bother putting the complete information in as it is 17 pages. but the short of it is that the oil companies are setting on 68 million acres of leased land (both off shore and onshore) that holds 79% 0f our oil and 82% of our natural gas.
that since 1999 -2007 congress issued 28,776 permits of which only 18,954 wells were drilled.
the land under lease could produce up to 4.8 million barrels of oil a day and44.7 billion cubic feet of natural gas. that would double the domestic production of oil and increase the natural gas production by 75%.
4.8 million barrels a day is more than 6 times the estimated peak production of the arctic wildlife refuge.
its time we told the oil companies use them or lose them. its time we told the
Hannities and other mouth pieces for big business it's our government.
IT'S TIME WE STOOD UP AS LIBERALS AND SHOUTED DOWN THOSE WHO CARRY BANNERS FOR RATINGS THAT GAVE BIG BUSINESS THE UPPER HAND.
from 1999 to 2007 congress issued 28,776 permits to drill. the oil companies used only 18,994 hoarding at least 10,000.
oil companies want high prices.
its time we told them use those leases or lose them.
