Brownback is proposing allowing preachers
to endorse candidates? I just heard this on the news tonight.

1. Good. Let'em go federal. And let the churches lose their valuable tax
exemption with no exceptions.

Jerry Falwell's church and university take an impressive amount of land in Lynchburg, denying the city needed revenue for its maintenance. I'm sure the residential property taxpayers would welcome some tax relief were these measures to pass.

3. It was an editorial
and the TV executive who was giving it cited Dr. King and a couple other religious leaders who have had positive influences on ISSUES. But he said the TV station did not agree that preachers should be allowed to endorse candidates without losing their tax exempt status.

2. Let me guess: Freedom of Speech?
That's how a lot of Dominionists have been painting it.

4. The editorial didn't bring that up
but I hear you.

Bill Maher on Sat night said we need to treat Evangelicals like they treat gays. Tell them that what they do in the privacy of their own homes is none of anyone else's business. And they need to keep it PRIVATE.

He also said the pope's funeral is proof that there is a fine line between liturgy and Liberace. LOL

5. Lets make it illegal for them to get married too

That way they can't endanger any children by exposing them to their perverse lifestyle choices.
