3. They still have horse races in Iowa
Very surprised not to see the Old Capitol or anything Davenport in the mix.
Lost count - been to many. The most surprising was the Ocheyden Mound which was just that a huge mound. I was expecting a hilly area but it was just this big mound in the middle of flat.

5. I have a vague memory of a controversy a couple decades ago about the mound
Apparently a neighboring farmers' manure pile was the highest point in Iowa!

my parents were from Iowa - I was born there - and I only get back every few years. I have been to several of those places, passed through a few, familiar w/the rest, and was so happy to have that little tour!
anyone ever heard of Pleasantville - 'City of Roses?' just curious...
and - I do love Iowa!

8. UPDATE: He is doing another one -- And he's looking for suggestions!
Some one on YouTube asked him about his next one "The plan is to have it up on YouTube by Thanksgiving 2008. I've got literally about 102 dancing clips yet to shoot. If you go to Google Maps and do a search on "Where in Iowa is Jeff", you can see where I plan to visit this year. LOTS of work to do!"
