Gov. Mitch Daniels is privatizing the dietary at our local state hospital.
This is in Logansport. Approximately 60 workers will be losing their jobs. It was on the front page of our paper today. I think this is just the beginning of the privatization efforts concerning our state institutions. If hired, the workers will probably have a lower wage and few, if any, benefits. Some of the workers have been there for 30 years. Pretty soon, I bet the nurses will be next.

Our city is already bleeding away jobs profusely. It's really feeling oppressed around here!

3. Just as the US 24 Corridor was supposed to awaken Logan
from a 50-year slumber, "My Bitch Mitch" feeds the town slumber pills. He is an apt pupil of his former boss -Dubya the Destroyer.

4. If he does this, find a relatively friendly reporter
and have him follow the story - over the next couple of years. Privatization doesn't always have a great track record - often the cost to the government increases, while services decerase. This strategy won't stop the current move, but could start raising awareness of how flawed this approach is - there are a multitude of examples from Jeb!s florida. There is little more that Hoosiers dislike than clearly fraudulent use of tax payers $$s.
