I think that Georgia has a lot huge variety of democrats. You had Larry McDonald who was a staunch conservative, Herman Talmadge who was somewhat conservative but more of a race-baiting populist, Zell Miller who is of the same cloth as Talmadge, Sam Nunn or Jim Marshall who is a blue/dog centrist, moderately liberal dems like Carter and hard-core liberals like Cynthia McKinney and John LEwis

Cynthia McKinney joined the Green Party in 2007. Which makes sense, because she was their Presidential candidate in 2008.
