How viable is Jeb Bush's Senate run?
I understand he left behind a trail of legislative booby traps which will hamstring Florida for years to come. How will he overcome the negative PR?

2. I'd say he's got a pretty good shot. If the Dems are smart...
they'll come together around a candidate early (like, in early 2009) and avoid a tough primary. It's the only way to compete against Jeb, I think. That said, there's at least half a dozen names that have been thrown around in articles about this, and I doubt the Dems will have the discipline to line up behind one of them.

6. It's viable if he WANTS it....
That is the key here. Florida now has paper ballots, but they are not counted. The state law is still accepting "electronic totals". There is no audit system either. Only one to two percent required, and it is post certification.

So, if Jeb wants the senate seat it is his. That plain, and that simple.

7. Plus, with Jeb's billions... he can literally buy the position if he wants it.
